I laugh when I hear somebody whine about winter… They live in Canada after all and it’s not a matter of choice… coming December, snow will fall. I find it relative to all the other seasons… either you embrace it or either you whine.
To me the first snowfall means different things. In my previous business, I never wanted to go into the office. I owned an insurance agency and I would receive multiple claim reports from vehicles accidents. This would inevitably decrease my commission rates for the following year… In the past I would feel the opposite of black Monday… more like red Monday!
Since I sold the insurance business, it was somewhat different to see my managers adjusting to getting backhoes out to remove snow… Hmm this might be a different world? The reality is snow slows down 85% of our operations from trucking to drainage to excavation… so yeah business wise, it’s still doesn’t like white gold to me!
On the flip side… There is nothing else for a fun time than jumping and sliding in the snow. We spent the whole morning building a fort and throwing snow at each other… we came back in at noon, dripping wet with our cheeks nice and red.
Again, I choose to embrace, as for the others… maybe moving to Texas is an idea!

Meet Hugo… the cousin in the middle. Last Friday was a bit of a suprise as 2 old friends came over to play cards… Well we ended up chatting till late into the night and my spouse was having a shopping day in montreal…i.e. leaving at 7am.
I usually pick up Hugo around 9am on saturday’s for our usual walk in the woods with the kids. I call my brother who says ‘ I have to stay at home today, please bring the kids and go to work, I am sure you have lots to do’.
I slept from 10am till noon, picked up the kids at 1 and put them to bed…including myself till 3…
Hugo…thanks for being such a great cousin to my kids.

Here is the truth… I was born in 1975 and I don’t really care for KISS. All the time I was there I kept thinking… Couldn’t they have picked up AC/DC?
This being said, there seemed to be plenty of KISS fans in the EO Organization. We were in the Mandalay Bay fake Beach resort and the bar was open. A nice mix to throw a party. As everybody was on the beach and the water was about knees height, it took only one individual to jump in the water and all hell broke loose! Just like a real concert… I do have to say… EO’rs drive their business hard and intense and they also party hard and intense!
So for all the KISS fans out there… Sorry I couldn’t appreciate it! Well it did beat the last concert I attended… Milli Vanelli in 1993… I have been looking for the class action lawsuit since then and haven’t found it.
