Well it has been day 3 of my week by myself with the kids. It’s been great up until now, my daughter pretty much draws everywhere but this was a first… Yeah it’s a picutre of me… what does it mean??? I don’t know…

My mom called and asked if she could take both kids to the library. Hmm what’s a single dad to say…? I had a choice of what to do for an hour and I decided to take out my mountain bike for its first ride of the year. I am signed up for an 8hr race in May. I will be representing Team Electronic Time Capsule while one of my good friends will be representing team Globex. I called Ben of Team Globex and as I am waiting for him in my garage, he finally shows up with his bike on his shoulder. He used the good old flat tire excuse and even called me back later tonight to explain how his flat tire happened. Here is what I think… Ben at team Globex is scared! I say this because I have seen Ben scared before. There is a creek that we discovered last year and we haven’t yet crossed it. Every time we pass by there, we wonder what the depth is, the bottom formation etc…. Well Creek, I am back, if there is any geologist or river analysts (if that exists!) please send me your thoughts as I will drive through it sometime this year!

My lovely spouse won a week’s vacation to the Dominican Republic. She participated in some radio station contest and won!
I know what my schedule looked like for the next 2 months and my first answer was how are you going to bring with you? Well she chose my sister in law. I am unsure if that is a good thing or a bad thing!
I am unsure as to why my spouse lost 15lbs before she went on this trip with total strangers. She said it was in the plans for 07 and had nothing to do with the trip. I do have to say she started working out before she won the trip. I also have to say it’s been a while since I have seen her work out THIS MUCH.
A little insecurity??? Nah! I at least told her not to settle for less than me… but I am merely 5’7’’. The guys were having great chuckles in the hockey room… asking questions like…
Them: you have been married for how many years?
Me: Well 7 years
Them: Did you know that is the pivotal year, you survive the 7th year and you are o.k.
Me: No worries guys, no worries. I’ll see you on the ice and make sure to tie up your helmets ladies.
I sincerely hope she is having a great time. It doesn’t matter that our daughter threw up 2 times yesterday, that our son wandered around the house shirtless in minus zero weather and that the cat has been stuck in the couch for 2 days. Those are merely details of my current daily life while she is sipping pina coladas and getting a tan.
Finally, a pic of Alexis having some cake with Grandpa. Later… I am calling the firefighters to get the jaws of life to get the cat out of the couch!
Leaving you with 2 pictures of the kids who don’t seem to be too beaten up!

It was my spouses’ b-day this last Friday and I planned an overnight stay in a hotel. She didn’t know anything about it until the Saturday morning.
The point of this post in to point out that I love my wife but that I also think she and her best friend are now grannies. Yes I said it grannies!
We had a lovely dinner at a fondue restaurand, had some glasses of wine and I had lined up a nice martini bar for some dancing and drinks.
It was 11 and both girls were too tired! All right, they did take a walk to get to the bar but since we got lost and it was minus 20c. We headed back to the hotel. I called him to see where we were going but both spouses were out. From there we said good night and we both respectively went back to our rooms to say our prayers before bed.
Turns out Marc was up and ready for a full night of drinking’ and dancing! Well… as we walked in front of the bars early Sunday morning looking for breakfast after a full night sleep with no headache, I came to the same conclusion I always do. Last 3 drinks — Overrated… Sunday morning without a headache —Underrated. I wish I would have learned this a long time ago and I sometimes remember this conclusion before taking another beer with Marc.
So for a great weekend and a beautiful Sunday morning… Cheers to the Grannies!
My partner in crime, his granny spouse and his 2 beautiful gremlins kids.

I attended our first ever non web marketing/sales. We did a trade show in Gatineau, Québec for our French site www.capsulememoire.com it does exactly the same as our English one does except…it’s in French. I dressed up in a costume from the early 1900’s; with the high hat and everything (yeah that’s me with the cane). Well the show was called ‘Generations Show’ there was people in their 80’s and babies that were no more than a few weeks old.
We were located in the part of the show that was for seniors and it was clear by Friday 11am that we were in the wrong place. Me: Do you use internet Miss?
Her: You have a lovely suit young man, I find it gives you a lot of class. Kids don’t wear suits anymore it seems, I liked suits. Me: I created a website to send messages in the future to your kids
Her: Is this your suit? My father had one just like it, He wore it on Sundays Me: Thanks for your kind words Mam’, have a great day.
By Saturday morning I was tucked in a corner in the kids’ location with the help of www.viedefamille.com .
The responses I got from new parents were pretty wild, I had people crying and some bought it right away. All in all, it was a great experience.
